Objective of the ENERH2O Awards
The awards “Prémio de Inovação em Gestão de Água” and “Prémio de Inovação em Energias renováveis” aim to honour research projects that stand out for their quality, originality, scientific relevance and innovation.
Presentation of the ENERH2O Awards
- Innovative technologies and solutions for the efficient management of water resources;
- Models and decision support tools for sustainable water management;
- Studies on the impact of climate change on water resources;
- Analysis and evaluation of public policies related to water management;
- Solutions for improving water quality and sanitation;
- Management of river basins and aquatic ecosystems.
- Advanced Solar Energy Technologies:
- Wind and Ocean Energy;
- Energy Storage;
- Smart Grids and Energy Management;
- Sustainability and Environmental Impact.
Who can receive the ENERH2O Awards
The Awards are aimed at master’s degree students, enrolled in Portuguese higher education institutions, who have developed original and innovative research work in the field of water management and renewable energies.
Who decides the ENERH2O Award Winners?
The jury for the Awards will be made up of an odd number of members with recognised experience and knowledge of the business sector, academia and associations.
The jury will be responsible for analysing and evaluating the applications in accordance with the criteria set out in these regulations.
The jury’s decisions are sovereign and irrevocable.
What do the ENERH2O Awards consist of?
The Awards will consist of a certificate of recognition, publicity on social media, participation in the ENERH2O fair, and a financial reward based on the ranking, as follows:
Water Management Innovation Award
1st Prize: €350
2nd Prize: €150
Renewable Energy Innovation Award
1st Prize: €350
2nd Prize: €150
The Awards will be presented to the winners at the ENERH2O Fair, which will take place from September 24 to 25, 2025.
What is required to submit an application?
- Applications for the Awards must be submitted using the electronic form made available for this purpose, accompanied by the following documents:
- Research paper in PDF format;
- Summary of the work (maximum 500 words);
- The candidate’s curriculum vitae;
- Declaration from the higher education institution proving the candidate’s enrolment on the master’s programme;
What are the evaluation criteria?
The submitted works will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
